Text only available in German: Die Ithaca 37 wurde von der US Army im zweiten Weltkrieg, im Korea-Krieg und vor allem im Vietnam Krieg eingesetzt. Die Waffe war für ihre hohe Zuverlässigkeit bekannt; das Laden und das Auswerfen der Hülsen erfolgte nach unten, so konnten auch allfällige Verschmutzungen nach unten aus der Waffe fallen.   Die hier vorliegende Waffe wurde Mitte der 1990er Jahre direkt aus Vietnam in die Schweiz importiert und stammt von der US Army. Die Waffe wurde jedoch bereits 1942 für den Privatmarkt produziert, wurde dann für einen Auftrag der US Army verwendet. Die Waffe kam im 2. Weltkrieg, dann eventuell im Korea-Krieg und schliesslich im Vietnam Krieg zum Einsatz.   Vgl: https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2015/5/18/the-ithaca-model-37-in-us-military-service/ http://www.ithacagun.com/pdfs/serialnumbers.pdf   Die Ithaca 37 verfügt über einen sogenannten "Slam Fire" Abzug, d.h. dass wenn bei gedrücktem Abzug der Repetiervorgang durchgeführt wird, die Schussauslösung unmittelbar nach der Verriegelung erfolgt. Das Röhrenmagazin kann so sehr schnell verschossen werden, ohne den Finger vom Abzug zu nehmen.
