Die Streitkräfte der Alpenrepublik suchten seinerzeit eine neue Dienstpistole, die unter der Bezeichnung "Pistole P80" projektiert war. In den Tests überzeugte Glocks Konstruktion und sie erhielt den Zuschlag. Damit begann der große weltweite Erfolg der Glock-Pistole, die inzwischen zu einer ganzen Familie ausgebaut wurde und in fünfter Generation verfügbar ist. 40 Jahre später, im März 2022, stellte die Firma aus dem niederösterreichischen Deutsch-Wagram auf der Enforce TAC das Jubiläumsmodell P80 vor. Sie verfügt über das Griffstück der ersten Generation ohne Fingerrillen und hat auf dem Verschluss die Bezeichnung P80 eingraviert (allerdings ohne die Kennzeichnung des Bundesheeres). Jan-Phillipp Weisswange Glock P 80 (Mod 17 Gen 1) wurde als Jubiläumsmodell auf dem Markt gebracht. Sammlermodel in geringer Stückzahl. 219001756 |
