Der Jäger aus der Jungsteinzeit hatte zum Zeitpunkt seines Ablebens auch ein Messer, bestehend aus einer Flintsteinklinge und einem Holzgriff, in seiner mitgeführten Ausrüstung. In Anlehnung an dieses Messer hat Designer Joe Fowlers das Condor Ötzi Knife mit konturierter und schmiederauer Kohlenstoffstahlklinge aus 1095 und zweifach mit Messingdraht umwickeltem Holzgriff entworfen. Ein Messer wie ein Faustkeil - nicht groß, aber robust und auf das Wesentliche reduziert, aus einer Zeit, als ein Messer noch ein elementarer Gegenstand des Alltags und unerläßlich zum Überleben war. Eine handgemachte Lederscheide bildet den würdigen Rahmen für dieses archaische und einzigartige Schneidwerkzeug.
