Dank des Rahmens aus einer Aluminiumlegierung ist die Waffe besonders leicht undführig, was sie zu einer beliebten Option für das verdeckte Tragen macht. Die Variante 37-2 kam in späteren Produktionsjahren auf den Markt und verfügt über einen Trommelkran-Stopp, der direkt in den Rahmen integriert ist. Rahmen (J-Frame): Aus einer leichten Aluminiumlegierung gefertigt (mit Stahl-Trommel und Stahllauf), wodurch das Gesamtgewicht deutlich geringer ist als beim rein stählernen Schwestermodell Model 36.
