BeschreibungDie Norton Firearms TP-70 in .22 LR (oft auch als Budischowsky TP-70 bezeichnet) ist eine extrem kompakte, im Double-Action-Verfahren operierende Westentaschenpistole, die in den 1970er-Jahren in den USA hergestellt wurde. Sie gilt als Meilenstein im Bereich der ultra-kompakten Back-up-Waffen, da sie vollständig aus rostfreiem Edelstahl (Stainless Steel) gefertigt wurde, was zu dieser Zeit für Taschenpistolen absolut revolutionär war. Das Modell wurde ursprünglich von dem westdeutschen Konstrukteur Edgar Budischowsky entworfen. Sein Design kombinierte geschickt mechanische Elemente von Walther- und Colt-Pistolen. Nachdem die Waffe in Deutschland nur in sehr kleinen Stückzahlen von Korriphila gebaut wurde, erwarb die US-Firma Norarmco (später bekannt als Norton Armaments bzw. Norton Firearms Inc.) aus Mount Clemens, Michigan, Anfang der 1970er-Jahre die Lizenzrechte. Norton produzierte die TP-70 von 1973 bis 1977 sowohl im Kaliber .25 ACP (6,35 mm Browning) als auch in der hier angebotenen Ausführung .22 LR (Long Rifle).
