Smith&Wesson Mod. 36 Kal. 38 S&W Spl. (Occasion) Dieser kleine Revolver, der in erster Linie für Polizisten in Zivil und ausserhalb des Dienstes gedacht war, wurde auf der Konferenz der International Association of Chiefs of Police im Jahr 1950 der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Auf der Konferenz bat das Verkaufsteam von Smith & Wesson die Polizeichefs, über einen Namen für den neuen Revolver abzustimmen. Der am häufigsten vorgeschlagene Name war .38 Chief's SpecialĀ®. Der Chief's Special wurde mit Blick auf die Bedürfnisse von Polizeibeamten entwickelt und erwies sich aufgrund seiner Grösse und seines Gewichts als beliebter Revolver für den persönlichen Schutz. Als Smith & Wesson 1957 die Modellnummern einführte, wurde aus der Chiefs Special das Modell 36. Die Smith & Wesson J-Frame-Revolver sind seit 1950 in Ihrem Besitz. Diese kleinen Revolver wurden zum Abfeuern von Vollmantelgeschossen entwickelt und sind ebenso einfach und leicht zu bedienen wie zuverlässig. Der Smith & Wesson J-Frame ist in verschiedenen Kalibern und mit drei verschiedenen Hammerdesigns erhältlich. Es ist daher keine Überraschung, dass der Smith & Wesson J-Frame der beliebteste Revolver mit kleinem Rahmen für die Verteidigung auf dem Markt geworden ist.
