| 38 WCF; This rifle is in NRA Antique Excellent Condition. The Winchester Model 1892 was a lever-action repeating rifle designed by John Browning as a smaller, lighter version of his large-frame Model 1886, and which replaced the Model 1873 as the company's lever-action for pistol-caliber rounds repeater. This 1898 manufactured example retains more than 80% of its original finishes, all original stampings are sharp and clear, the entire rifle having not a sign of being "restored on". Other than a small dent to the muzzle crown (see pic), close examination shows that all the standard screw heads are like new sharp, definitely leading this researcher to believe that no person has ever messed with the insides of this rifle…Sweet, give us a call on this one. |
