Description:
38 WCF; 65% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 24'' barrel, This rifle is in NRA Antique Fine Condition. The Winchester Model 1892 was a lever-action repeating rifle designed by John Browning as a smaller, lighter version of his large-frame Model 1886, and which replaced the Model 1873 as the company's lever-action for pistol-caliber rounds repeater. This 1912 manufactured example retains more than 60% of its original blued finishes, all original stampings are sharp and clear, the entire rifle, wood and all, having not a sign of being "restored on". Close examination shows that all the standard screw heads are like new sharp except for the tang screw which often loosens up and probably tightened back many times. Yet all others- definitely leading this researcher to believe that no person has ever messed with the insides of this rifle and no extra holes drilled…Nice American Classic rifle here- priced to sell, give us a call., s/n 921xx
