| 38-40 Win; 50% blue, good bore, good stock, 24.25'' barrel, Manufactured in 1895. Original blued finish mixed with browning, scattered minor-light pitting. Original walnut stock, crescent butt. Round barrel with fixed front silver blade sight and buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight. Marked on top of the barrel with the Winchester address in two lines. Caliber marking on top of the barrels chamber. Marked on the upper tang "Model 1892/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. OCT. 14, 1884.". Mechanically fine. Rifle has German commercial import proofing over the left side of the barrel with eagle proofs on left side of frame and top of bolt. Antique, s/n 1001xx |
