| 22 Short; 90% blue, very good+ bore, very good stock, 28'' barrel, Low wall single shot rifle, U.S. marked, manufactured c.1918-1919. Original blued finish round barrel with silver blade fixed front sight. Lyman adjustable peep sight mounted to the right side of the action, which is missing the eyepiece aperture and small windage adjusting knob. Walnut full length finger grooved forend, has some handling dings. Walnut buttstock is nice and shows some light refinishing. The top of the action behind the hammer recess is stamped U S over the flaming bomb ordnance mark. Other wise the rifle has standard Winchester markings, 2 line address and patent dates over the left side center barrel. Oval proofed on top of the barrel chamber and over the left side on top of the action. Mechanically fine, very good bore., s/n 1382xx |
