| 12 Gauge; 80% blue, good bore, good stock, 28'' barrel, Manufactured in England c.1890. Blued finish steel barrels with 2 5/8" chambers. Full/Cylinder chokes. Smooth concave rib with silver bead and dollshead extension. Engraved on the rib "WILLIAM EVANS FROM PURDEY'S. 63, PALL MALL ST JAMESS. LONDON". Casehardened boxlock action with scroll engraving. Both sides marked "WILLIAM EVANS/FROM PURDEY'S/LONDON". Checkered walnut stock, straight grip with a 14 5/8" LOP, serrated butt. Missing an oval inlay on the bottom. Push button forearm release. Shows age and handling. Trace case color on the action. Scattered areas of spotting on the barrels. Mechanically fine with good lockup. Antique., s/n 35xx |
