| 22 Caliber; 97% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 25'' barrel, HERE'S ARE VERY INTERESTING M96/11 ORIGINALLY MADE AT WF BERN IN 1900 AND LATER PRIVATIZED IN 1977. THE RIFLE WAS BEAUTIFULLY CONVERTED TO FIRE 22 LR AND WAS RETAILED BY EUGEN WEILER IN WINTERTHUR. WE DON'T KNOW IF WEILER DID THE CONVERSION OR WAS JUST THE RETAILER. THE ORIGINAL BARREL WAS SHORTENED FROM 30.7" TO 24.75" AND THEN SLEEVED IN THE NEW CALIBER. THE BARREL MUZZLE APPEARS LIKE A COUNTERBORE WITH 7" TO THE END ONF THE SLEEVE. THE BLUING IS EVEN THROUGH OUT. THE WALNUT STOCK SHOWS VERY LIGHT HANDLING MARKS. COMES WITH A SLING AND BEARS OUR IMPORT MARK., s/n 2596xx |
