| Exact age unknown, a guess would be 1930-1940's. No maker markings. Formed leather, complete with straps with brass buckles. Strap keepers are rivited in place. A previous owners name is heavily hand written on the back "TOM MONGER / STOCKTON MO". This scabbard fits a 22 inch barreled .22 caliber lever action rifle perfectly, however a larger caliber rifle does not fit well. In overall Good condition for its age, the original stitching and copper riviting remains intact, straps appear original as well. It has a fair share of wear with cracking surface leather on the straps and spent some time folded a bit with wrinkling and cracking in an area between the straps. 27 inch OAL. |
