| Description: |
| 22LR; mint bore, near mint stock, 24'' barrel, With a matching numbered bolt that features an adjustable headspace screw. The mint condition barrel is stamped 6-37. The original M2 marked magazine is included. The rear sight is a correct micrometer adjustable Lyman 48 peep sight, the ramped front sight is a blade with a front sight protective cover. The walnut stock reflects only the slightest handeling marks and a circle P as well as a boxed SA R cartouche. The M2 rifle is an improved version of the Model 1922 M1 that now features an altered firing mechanism with faster lock time, round knurled cocking knob added to the bolt and a flush fitting detachable magazine with improved feeding. Considered to be one of the most accurate and best made .22 caliber rifles manufactured prior to the close of WWII. These rifles were used primarily as training rifles throughout the war and during the post-war years. Definitely an excellent example here., s/n 94xx |
