| 44 Cal; 70% blue, very good bore, good grips, 8'' barrel, Original blued finish, plain walnut grip. Marked on the left side of the frame "STARR ARMS Co. NEW YORK" and on the right side "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15, 1856". No visible U.S. inspector markings on either side of the grip or small letter inspector markings. Crossed key proofs on top of the barrel and frame, and over each cylinder chamber, have not been identified. Scattered spots of light pitting. Fading case color on the loading lever and small parts. Mechanically fine. Antique, s/n 266xx |
