| 30-06 Cal; good bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Original SA 4-11 barrel, original blued metal finish, single lug finger grooved walnut stock and handguard. Original milled parts with smooth buttplate. Straight turndown handle bolt marked on the recoil lug L and C. Single punch mark on handle shank. Original Winchester A5 scope with very good optics and original mounts. Front base marked with 1907 patent date, front base with 1907 and 1919 patent dates. Original front sight cover attached. The metal retains mainly only trace original finish, some mottling on the receiver. Wood with small dings and handling marks overall. It is estimated that approximately 100 M1903 rifles where fitted up with this scope, with the majority issued to the U.S. Marine Corp. There are known photographs of these rifles stacked in Army camps however. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 4710xx |
