| 22 LONG RIFLE; 94% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 26.5'' barrel, First in a series of W625 single shot bolt action rifles designed in hopes to meet the needs of the new nazi government as a military training rifle, the W625 model would go through numerous modifications as requirements were changed. This exceptional example of the earliest of this series has original blued finish and is mounted in a walnut stock and handguard. Matching serial number bolt. Ramped fixed inverted V front sight, with hood attached. Tangent rear sight graduated 30-200 meters. Stamped on top of the receiver ring with the Simson trademark logo consisting of a circled triangle bordering an S, below "Mod.W625". The left side of the barrel is stamped with the caliber designation and serial number. Crown/B and U proofs are located on the right side of the barrel and receiver. Original stacking rod in place at the tip of the forend. Bottom sling swivel mounts designed for the GEW.98 style of sling mounting. In overall Very Good condition showing light wear and handling.
