Factory conversion for metallic .38 Caliber Rimfire cartridges, with loading gate and ejector. No military markings or inspector initials. Octagon barrel with fixed sight, marked on the top "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858. MARCH 17. 1865/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL". The original finish has mixed with some patina, having light surface rust spotting overall. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Action functions well. Antique., s/n 426xx |
