| 45-70 Government; 50% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 33.5'' barrel, Ex-Danish military Remington rolling block rifle, rebarreled in 45-70 caliber. Round barrel with military type ladder rear sight. A tunnel front sight has been installed, which is missing any aperture or post insert. Action has the Remington two-line address and patent dates on the upper tang. A tang sight has been installed. Breechblock for rim and centerfire, set up for centerfire only. Has some pitting on the sides and face. Action functions fine. Walnut stock, forend with 3 spring kept bands. No cleaning rod. 3/4" leather hunting sling attached. Small chip starting at the heel of the butt. Bore is bright and sharp. Antique, s/n 236xx |
