| 9x19mm; 87% blue, very good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Rig. Original blued finish and checkered walnut grips. Matching serial numbers except the magazine. The magazine is a blued sheet steel variant with aluminum base, un-numbered, with an eagle/N proof. Stamped on top of the toggle with the Mauser code "42" and on top of the chamber with the date 1940. The right side of the receiver is stamped with two eagle/655 proofs and an eagle/swatika military acceptance mark. The metal finish is showing holstering wear to high points and even wear and thinning overall Grips have some compression to the checkering however are in overall good condition. Mechanically fine. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Rig includes an original P.08 holster marked on the reverse between the belt loops with the code "bml/41" over an eagle/WaA proof. The holster is overall good however the tip of the lifting strap has torn away. Each corner of the flap hinge has a rivet installed, done long ago. An original though unmarked takedown tool is inside the pouch under the flap. An extra blued sheet steel magazine with unmarked aluminum base is included inside the pouch as well. An original waist belt with pebbled aluminum Army buckle, the buckle is original though no markings found, generous field green paint on the backside with most worn off the exposed front and ends. Complete with an original leather tab, no legible markings. The belt is a small size, and has a maker mark and date 1938 at one end., s/n 94xxc, Catalog Number M-721 |
