| 12 Gauge; fair bore, good stock, 32'' barrel, Manufactured by the Meriden Fire Arms Co for Sears Roebuck c.1908. Damascus steel barrels. Casehardened frame and lockplates. Checkered walnut stock and forearm. 2 3/4" chambers, both chokes gauge Full. Matching serial numbers. Stamped on top of the matted barrel rib "DAMASCUS STEEL MFG'D BY THE MERIDEN FIRE ARMS CO. MERIDEN , CT. U.S.A. PAT'D JY. 9, 1907". Brass bead sight. Stamped "D32" on the water table. Both lock plates are marked "The A.J. Aubrey" along with floral relief engraving and fowl game scene. Some color remains on the frame and lockplates though they have mostly greyed out. Barrels have aged to a light brown with some widely scattered minor dark spotting and an small scratch or two. The wood shows some handling, the checkering remains strong. Original hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. LOP=14". The buttplate has solme minor chipping at the toe. Lock function well and lockup is tight. Bores are dull with light corrosion throughout. Our import mark., s/n 34xx |
