| 12 GAUGE; good bore, poor stock, 30'' barrel, Damascus steel barrels with 2 1/2" chambers, chokes gauge Cylinder and Improved Modified. Side lever break action. Checkered walnut stock with straight grip, 14.25" LOP with checkered butt. Backlocks, marked on each plate "MEARS BROS.". Engraved on the barrel rib "MEARS BROS. TACHBROOK ST. PIMLICO LONDON". Metal mostly grey with dark spotting and rusting overall. Stock is cracked on the left side between the lower tang and rear of lockplate, with a crack running from the left lockplate to the comb. Actions function fine and barrel lockup is good. Bores are bright with some pitting. Antique. |
