| 8mm Mauser; 92% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Manufactured by Mauser-Werke Borsigwalde, stamped on top of the receiver with the code ar and date code 44, along with an eagle/135 proof. Original blue finish with some phosphate finish small parts, mounted in a laminated wood stock and handguard. The only numbered parts are the bolt and components and they are matching. The stock is not numbered externally or inside the barrel channel. Eagle/swaz military acceptance marks appear on the left side of the barrel and receiver ring. Eagle/135 and eagle/26 proofs appear on the right side of the receiver ring, and an eagle/135 proof is located on the right side of the barrel. Stamped upper and lower bands with phosphate finish and held in place with single screws. No provision for a cleaning rod. Stamped trigger guard with thin phosphate finish, stamped byf with two eagle/135 proofs. Milled floorplate with blue finish, not proofed or numbered. The right side of the stock butt is stamped with a single eagle/WaA135 proof. The rifle is complete with an original unmarked leather sling, front sight hood and rubber muzzle cap. Condition: Overall excellent, the metal finish shows minor wear and handling, thinned finish on the trigger guard. The stock has scattered small dings and scratches. Mechanically fine. The bore is bright and sharp with a tight muzzle. No import markings. C&R/FFL, s/n 121xx |
