| .12 GAUGE; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 22'' barrel, With sharp cartouched stock, the very nicest of these that we have seen. A German Mauser Gew98 Hard Hit Heart Conversion Shotgun, 12 Gauge, two shot. Produced after WW1 from left over military Gew98 rifles for the commercial market. Of the three known German makers, Hard Hit Heart is reported to be the rarest. In excellent looking condition, the well figured stock with the makers raised medalion heart and cartouche in place. All mechanicals function just fine, featuring a turned down Mauser bolt handle and modified for this special use and has the correct bolt face and extractor. Made in Germany, no import marks! Makes a fine item for the military collector, definitely priced to sell fast., s/n 70xx |
