| 9mm; 4'' barrel, Extensive engraving with matching carved stock reconfigured to resemble an earlier regal Mauser. Rare C96 six shot with fixed front sight and slip-in rear sight marked 50-1000. Short extractor, 2-lug firing pin, small ring hammer. Usual chamber address with full s/n on left chamber flat and "crown"/U on left side of barrel extension. Unusual solid rails. Right side of frame with 2-line Mauser address. Bottom of floor plate with serrations. Pistol is in-the-white with eloborate and extensive floral engraving that covers 90% of the pistol and is highlighted with gold accented border. Fire blued small parts. Beautiful replacement grips, are numbered to match, and are scroll engraved and serrated. All external numbers are matching including the sight bar. Accompanied by a contemporay and impressive carved stock whose in-the-white looped hinge and matching lug have been engraved in a contemporay fashion. In-the-white pistol with surface toning and chemical aging. Some fine scattered pinpricks of oxidation. Bright bore with mild etching and shallow rifling. Sluugish bolt return. Stock spring is broken. Stock with a scattering of minor dings and aged to retain 95% of the varnish., s/n 431xx |
