| 25 ACP; 87% blue, good bore, very good grips, 3'' barrel, Mauser M1910 sidelatch pistol with a well made reproduction of a Mauser experimental wood shoulder stock/holster. The pistol has its original blued finish and checkered walnut grip. Standard Mauser Oberndorf markings on the left side of the slide with crown/U commercial proofing. Matching serial numbers. The front of the grip frame has a small rectangular notch which the latch on the stock fits into to secure the stock. Overall in average good condition having some spotting in areas of thin finish, mainly on the sides of the frame. The stock is a sort of clamshell design which has a hinged extension. A small hook fits behind the magazine catch, and a bar snaps into the notch on the front of the pistols grip strap. (see the book "Mauser Pistolen" by John Speed, W Darrin Weaver and Walter Schmid, page 82). The stock is cutout and fitted on the inside for the pistol to be used as a holster. Very few of these stocks were originally manufactured as it was determined they were a rather unnecessary accessory for the pocket pistol. The quality of reproducing the stock is very good, the pistol is secure when attached to the latch and bar and though a bit bulky, functions as it should.
