| 38-40 Winchester; 82% blue, good bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Full octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Silver blade fixed front sight, installed backwards. Buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight. Plain walnut stock. Fabricated sling swivels added. British proofs and "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" markings on the right barrel and receiver. Wood has been sanded and oil finished. Spotting/light pitting on the receiver with some blue touch up finish. Some case color visible on the lever. Crisp markings on top of the barrel with the Marlin address and patent dates 1887, 1889 and 1893. Mechanically fine. The bore has shine and strong rifling, light corrosion throughout.
