| .75; 75% blue, very good bore, good stock, 38.5'' barrel, KAVANAGH (DUBLIN) PERCUSSION MUSKET IN ANTIQUE FINE CONDITION. THE FINISH ON THE BARREL HAS A NICE PATINA BEARING THE NUMBER 8009S WHICH IS AN IRISH REGISTRATION NUMBER. THE LOCK AND HAMMER RETAIN APPROX 40% OF ITS FADED CASE COLORS. THE VERY GOOD SMOOTHBORE IS SEMI BRIGHT. THE WALNUT STOCK IS SOLID WITH BRASS FITTINGS SHOWING NUMEROUS DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESIONDENTS. THE ACTION FUNCTIONS PROPERLY BUT THE HAMMER SCREW IS MISSING. KAVANAGH WAS AN IRISH GUN MAKER 1796/1928. |
