| 8mm Mauser; 70% blue, good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Erfurt manufacture double date 1917/1920. Original blue finish and walnut stock. Matching bands, stacking bar, trigger guard, floorplate, follower, front trigger guard screw, stock (numbered in the normal position on the bottom of the butt and on the left side) and buttplate. Non-matching bolt (proper variation which matches itself and is numbered 2899g), bolt release, rear sight leaf and rear trigger guard screw. Standard Imperial proofs and military acceptance marks. Previous owners or soldiers initials carved onto the right side of the stock under the receiver. No import markings. The blue metal finish is mixing with brown patina over all. The wood has many small dings and dents. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling and a tight muzzle, showing some frost and darkness along the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 28xxgg |
