| 12 Gauge; 60% blue, Good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Pre-war manufacture, no visible date on the barrels, with crown/S, W, and U proofs. Marked on top of both barrels "J.P. SAUER & SOHN, SUHL". 2 1/2 inch chambers with Full and Modified chokes. Blued barrel, case hardened frame and mounted in checkered walnut. Features a Boxlock action with rotary cocking indicators, Greener style crossbolt, double triggers, full grip stock with cheekrest, extractors and sling swivels. The barrels show finish wear with some spotting and minor pitting. The action has spotting overall as well, with clear markings. The wood shows use with minor dings and scratches, with a minor hairline crack behind the upper tang. Mechanically fine, a bit of minor up/down play can be forced in lockup., s/n 1476xx |
