| 14.5mm; A pair of English flintlock pistols, "Queen Anne" style, screw barrel, circa 1720-1740. 58 cal smooth bore, overall length 12 inches. Marked "HOLBORN LONDON" on bottom of breech with "crown" over GP and "crown" over V. Top of breech marked "IOYNER". Brass "face" buttcap, escutchen on top of grip shows a woman face on a lions body. Excellent condition as cleaned, with clear markings and high quality furniture and engraving. Mechanically excellent. Seldom seen as original identical pairs. Almost 300 years old!, |
