| 8mm Mauser; 95% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 21'' barrel, Very rare German WW2 "last ditch" rifle issued to the Volksstrum (Peoples Army) in the last months of the war. Manufactured by Spreewerke, original blued finish, plain beechwood stock and forend. Stamped steel pinned and welded construction, steel barrel and receiver liner. Bolt action with dual locking lug bolt, handle safety lug, fed from a standard detachable G/K 43 rifle 10-shot magazine. Marked on the left side of the receiver with the code "cyg", the model designation and serial number. The left side of the receiver near the back is stamped with a small "chd". The left side of the barrel is marked with numbers and letters, "41", a drooped eagle/F and drooped eagle/15. Matching bolt. Protected fixed front sight, drift adjustable rear sight. Stock slotted, forend with a wire side mounted swivel for sling. Cupped sheet steel buttplate. Original K43 magazine with 80% original paint finish, marked on the left side along the bottom edge "aye", eagle/WaAB43 and "K43". Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 2xxA |
