| 7.92mm KURZ; excellent bore, good stock, 16.25'' barrel, Extremely rare WWII last ditch measure Volkssturmgewehr (Peoples Assault Rifle), manufactured by Gustloff-Werke Suhl. Stamped sheet steel welded construction, finished in the white, plain flat board walnut stock and forend. There are no acceptance proofs or markings, other than the serial number which appears on both sides of the stock in different number size, the left side with a small mark above the serial number of "R. A100" in an oval. Semi-automatic blow back function, the complete barrel jacket/bolt assembly and its extension recoil for loading and extraction from a standard MP44 magazine. Attached to the barrel jacket assembly are plain fixed sights with the front having a sheet steel protector. The cloth sling is rivit attached to the bottom of the stock, looped thru a simple wire swivel in front of the forend. Original magazine marked on the left side "MP 44", on the right with a "qnw" code and eagle/214 proof. Mechanically fine and complete. C&R/FFL, s/n Th11xx |
