| Original brass helmet, emblem on the front reads "SAPEURS POMPIERS du PERRAY". Maker mark stamped under the front and rear brims HELBRONNER/PARIS. The leather suspension liner is present but dry and beginning to loosen from the clip mounts. Partial leather chin strap, torn, with one swivel for the strap missing. The brass retains some age patina, with signs of some cleaning compound in the edges done long ago. The front emblem is a bit loose and will need the nut on the back tightened. Missing on of the 8 screws on top. The holder for a plume is present on the left side. Over all good, having a few small dents and scratches. |
