| 72 Cal; good bore, very good stock, 7 1/8'' barrel, Manufactured in Belgium by A. Francotte for a Swiss military contract circa 1840s. Brass mounted walnut stock. Standard Belgian proofs of the period, the top of the barrel flat is stamped A.F. No provision for a ramrod, which was carried seperately. Missing the nipple. The action works well. The metal has turned patina overall with light spotting and minor pitting around the bolster area. The brass fittings retain original age patina. Antique., |
