| 38 Special; 80% blue, very good bore, very good+ grips, 6'' barrel, Manufactured in 1937, The top of the heavy barrel is roll-stamped with the two-line Hartford address and "1884", "1900", "01", "05" and"26" patent dates. The model designation: "+ OFFICERS MODEL 38+" / "+HEAVY BARREL+" is roll-stamped along the left side of the barrel. The Rampant Colt trademark is roll-stamped on the left side of the frame behind the rounded, checkered, cylinder latch. The serial number is stamped on the inside of the frame and crane. The finish shows high muzzle edge and turn ring wear. The bore is bright. Checkered Colt monogram grip panels. The attachable shoulder stock has blued tubular and sheet metal fittings and a black leather holster body. "PATENT'S/PENDING is stamped on both sides of the metal mount but there are no visible manufacturers markings on the metal or leather components. The holster is complete with four alloy stock attachment plates that fit beneath the revolver grips. Finish has moderate to heavy patina, leather shows cracking., s/n 6068xx |
