| 45 ACP; very good bore, excellent grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1945. Parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, large ring left and small ring right panels. Original fixed sights. Aftermarket magazine. WW2 Colt barrel with very good bore. Slide has a smooth parkerized finish and is marked on the left side with the two-line two-block patent dates and Colt's address flanking the Rampant Colt logo. Narrow checkered Colt hammer, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch, arched mainspring housing with 8 grooves. Left side of frame has no inspector marks, with the P firing proof stamped below the magazine catch. Right side of frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number, and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". No ordnance escutcheon mark on the rear right side of frame. Mechanically fine, the barrel bushing is a bit tight. C&R/FFL, s/n 23648xx |
