| 38-40 Winchester; 50% blue, fair bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Medium frame lightning pump action rifle manufactured in 1884. The metal has an old reblue finish, most of which has worn away. Walnut stock refinished long ago as well with worn checkering on the forend. Round barrel with original fixed front sight, replacement rear sight. Two line Colt's address and patent dates on top of the barrel are faint, as is the caliber marking on top of the barrel chamber and Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame. There are a few minor dings on the magazine tube. Rifle is mechanically fine. The bore is dark showing strong rifling., s/n 16xx |
