| 38 Automatic; 60% blue, good bore, good grips, 5 7/8'' barrel, Sight safety variation. Manufactured in 1902. Original blued finish and plain walnut grips. Front serrated slide. Fixed sights. Casehardened checkered spur hammer with generous case color remaining. Original 7-shot magazine with 1884 patent date on bottom of base, faded nickel finish. Left side of slide marked with the patent date 1897 and Colt's address in two-line blocks, with the circled Rampant Colt logo at the rear. Right side of slide marked "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". The bright blued finish shows handling scratches overall, heavy finish loss on the rear grip frame strap, small spot of pitting on the right side grip frame at the back edge of the grip panel.
