| 12 Gauge; good bore, very good stock, 29 7/8'' barrel, C. 1880's Trulock Bros. Improved lockfast 12 bore double with browned finish Damascus barrels. 2 5/8" chambers, open chokes. Smooth concave barrel rib with fine silver bead sight. Engraved on top of the rib "TRULOCK BROS. PATENT 11 ESSEX BRIDGE DUBLIN". Casehardened frame and lockplates with trace color, fine English scroll engraved. Both plates marked "TRULOCK BROS". The bottom of the frame is engraved inside on oval "IMPROVED LOCKFAST / PATENT / TRULOCK BROS / DUBLIN / 11 ESSEX BRIDGE". Checkered fancy walnut stock with semi-grip, plastic material grip cap with checkered butt. LOP 14 inches. Wedged checkered forend. Unmarked silver inlaid sheild on top of the wrist. Both actions function well and barrel lockup is good. Bores are bright, some minor corrosion mainly ahead of the chambers. The trigger guard grip tang appears to have had a repair done at some point. Small old cleaned up chip at the toe of the butt. Antique., s/n 78xx |
