Trace bright blue finish in the barrel flutes, otherwise the metal is mainly patina. Bag shaped frame with plain walnut grips, show wear. Stamped on the cylinder inside one flute "ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER" and on the left side of the hammer "ALLEN'S PATENT/1845". Serial on top of the hammer. Mechanics are fine. Rusty bores.
