| Tavaro S.A. Zustand: siehe Fotos. Die feinmechanische Werkstätte Tavaro AG wurde 1934 in Genf vom Uhrenkonzern Tavannes Watch Co. zur Herstellung und Vermarktung eines vom französischen Mechaniker André Varaud entwickelten Granatzünders gegründet. Bis zum Ausbruch des 2. Weltkriegs produzierte die Firma für die meisten europäischen Armeen. 1940-43 lieferte sie Deutschland 1,7 Mio. Zünder. Gleichzeitig entwickelte sie die bahnbrechende Haushaltsnähmaschine Elna 1, die ab 1946 grosse Verbreitung fand und der mehrere Modelle folgten. Der Misserfolg der vollelektronischen Elna 4000 (1988) beschleunigte den Niedergang des Unternehmens, das 1995 Konkurs ging. Mehrsprachig, 38 S., 20,5 x 14 cm, 66 g. |
