Grâce à la norme MIL-PRF 32432 les protection oculaires ont été étudiées et testées en laboratoire afin de garantir une résistance à des impacts d'un projectile de calibre 0.22 (5.588mm) et 17 grains (1.1016g) à 550fps soit environ 15.479 Joules.
