| Le M40 est un fusil de précision construit sur la base du Remington M700 et donc chambré en 7,62x51mm (.308Win). Sa première version possédait une crosse en bois, fiabilisée ensuite dans sa version M40A1. Le M40A3, possède quant à lui une crosse en fibre de nylon fabriquée par McMillan, remplaçant le bois, et possède un appui joue réglable, d'autres modifications ont été effectuées afin de rendre l'arme plus efficace. Les prochaines améliorations arrivent sur le M40A5 avec une modification du canon permettant d'installer un nouveau cache flamme (ou silencieux), ainsi qu'un support Picatinny supplémentaire pour l'installation d'une lunette de vision nocturne. Enfin, sa version M40A6 se voit équipée d'une crosse en aluminium, lui offrant un look proche du Remington MSR (appelé aussi MK 21). ASG propose ici une réplique très réaliste et d'excellente qualité du M24A3, en version spring. Très régulière et précise d'origine, elle saura facilement trouver sa place dans votre arsenal. Le fusil dispose d'un rail Picatinny permettant d'ajouter une lunette ou un viseur point rouge, il est également possible de monter un bipied grâce un rail inférieur.
