Das Modell 19 wird als ".357 Combat Magnum" beschrieben. Der abgebildete Revolver wurde 1979 nach dem Buch "The Standard Catalog of S&W" hergestellt. Er hat den charakteristischen, vor 1982 gefertigten Stiftzylinderlauf und die charakteristischen Trommelstangen und ist in der 4-Zoll-Laufkonfiguration mit breitem Target-Abzug, Square-ButtGriff und Target-Pads aus Holz. It features the characteristic pre-1982 pinned barrel and barrel locks, and is in its 4" barrel configuration, with a wide "target" trigger tail, "square-butt" grip and wooden "target" plates.
