| Original WWII-era Swiss Military backpack (tornister) dated from 1939. High-quality cowhide rucksack in excellent condition. Brown cow hair. Features canvas inside, front pocket, quick detach top system, adjustable leather straps and inner compartments. Cowhide is in excellent shape. Belt pads have light wear from rubbing. Belt pad is stamped with leather maker's mark, "ERNST KERIS" in Kradolf, Switzerland, Kradolf is a former municipality in Thurgau, and is now part of Kradolf-Schönenberg. There is a Privatization stamp on the canvas inside the large main compartment. The top of each leather shoulder strap is stamped with a Swiss inspection mark "Sz". Photos are of the actual backpack for sale. |
