Die Idee der Waffe enstand daraus für Piloten der US Army eine überlebenswaffe zu konzipieren, bei der sie bei einem Abturz eine kompakte leichte Waffe hatten um hinter feindlichen Linien oder vor gefährlichen Tieren schutz zu haben. Die Waffe ist Halbautomatisch und führt aus einem 8 Schuss Stangenmagazin.
