Geissele Stressproof Bolt Assembly with ExtractorDer Geissele Stressproof Bolt wird aus Carpenter 158 hergestellt, aber das ist kein typisches Material, das von der US-Regierung spezifiziert wurde. Da Geissele es auf die nächste Stufe bringen wollte, arbeiteten unsere Ingenieure direkt mit den Metallurgen von Carpenter Steel in Reading PA zusammen, um eine spezielle Materialhitze zu produzieren, die als Carpenter 158+ bekannt ist. Dieses Material ist sauberer und weist weniger Verunreinigungen auf, was es letztlich stärker und beständiger macht. Doch damit nicht genug: Wir haben beschlossen, den Bolt zu schmieden. Mit dem gleichen Verfahren, das für die Herstellung von oberen und unteren Gehäusen verwendet wird, wird bei einem geschmiedeten Verschlusskopf die Kornstruktur des Metalls manipuliert. Dies erzeugt die fünffache Lebensdauer eines Mil-Spec-Bolts. Jeder Verschlusskopf wird anschließend strengstens geprüft, unter hohem Druck getestet, auf Magnetpartikel untersucht und mit Nanoweapon für maximale Korrosions- und Verschleißbeständigkeit beschichtet.
