| Impressive grouping of an original WW1 U.S. Army uniform, owned by Private John E. Connoly from St. Paul Minnesota. Private Connoly served in the Engineer branch. Includes the wool coat, wool breeches and wool overseas cap. Insignia consists of the red discharge stripe and two stateside silver chevrons. US collar disc and "A" Engineer disc. Name and service number are stenciled in the breeches and hat. Included is some copies of research papers, a copy of private Connoly's state of Minnesota military service record, information from the personnel records center, and Department of Veteran's affairs burial record. Private Connoly passed n 1984. Uniform is in excellent clean condition, original buttons intact, no signs of repairs or damage. |
