| 12 Gauge; poor bore, fair stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured in 1905. Matching numbers takedown model. 2 3/4" chamber Full choke plain barrel (note: these earlier 1897's had a 2 3/4" chamber for the roll crimped paper shotshells of the period, making the chambers a bit shorter than modern 2 3/4" chambers). Metal finish worn to a mix of rust patina and bare metal with rust and dark spotting overall. Walnut stock, has several cracks behind the action and 2-3 cracks at the end of the butt. Checkered steel buttplate. Original markings remain mostly clear and legible. Barrel has several gouges at the end of the magazine tube. Bore is dark and rusty., s/n 2577xx |
